Snom
This instruction explains, how to start a network and a SIP-trace on Snom end devices and DECT bases.
More information can be found here.
Not every Snom device is explained here.
The following instruction is about the Web Interface of the device. To access this interface, enter the IP-Address of Your Device in the Browser.

Open Trace menu
- Snom M500
- Snom M900
- Snom D375
- Snom D865
Open the menu "Network Trace" in the tab "SERVICING" under "System Logs".
Open the menu "SIP Log" in which You can find the SIP pakets.
Open the menu "PCAP Trace" in the tab "Status".
Inside the menu "Diagnostic" in the tab "Maintenance" You get three Trace possibilities:
- "Log": Systemlogs of the device
- "SIP Trace": Preview of the SIP pakets
- "PCAP Trace": A capture of the network pakets
Choose the option "PCAP Trace".
Start capture
- Snom M500
- Snom M900
- Snom D375
- Snom D865
Initiate the capture using "Start". After that, the button changes to "Stop".
To create a new capture, click on "Clear" and then "Reload".
Initiate the capture using "Start".
Initiate the capture of the network pakets using "Start".
The WebUi shows how many pakets in which time have been captured.
Stop capture
- Snom M500
- Snom M900
- Snom D375
- Snom D865
End the capture with the button "Stop".
The capture stops automatically on this Snom, as long as You don't click on "Reload".
End the capture with the button "Stop".
End the capture with the button "Stop".
Download file
- Snom M500
- Snom M900

Lastly download the capture as PCAP file by clicking "Save to File".
Download the shown SIP pakets as a textfile using "Export".
Download the capture as PCAP file with the button "Save".
Download the capture as a PCAP file using the button "Save".
