Ring Groups

Ring groups are used when multiple extensions should ring for a single call. This allows several agents to receive the call.

Configuration

Click on the "Applications" tab and select the "Ring Groups" menu item.

To add a new ring group, click on "Add Ring Group".

The following configurations can be made:

  • Ring-Group Number: <The ID of the ring group>
  • Group Description: <Description of the ring group>
  • Extension List: <List of extensions belonging to the ring group>
  • Ring Strategy: <How the extensions should ring>
  • Ring Time: <How long an extension rings>
  • Announcement: <A system recording played to the caller before ringing>
  • Play Music On Hold: <Plays music on hold to the caller instead of a ringing tone>
  • CID Name Prefix: <Prefix added to the caller's phone number>
  • Alert Info: <The ringtone for this ring group>
  • Ringer Volume Override: <Adjust ringtone volume>
  • Ignore CF Settings: select "Yes"
  • Skip Busy Agent: select "Yes"
  • Destination if no answer: <Destination for the call if no extension answers>

Finally, click on "Submit" and "Apply Config".
