IVR (Interactive Voice Response)

IVR is used as an electronic voice menu to automatically ask customers questions, which they answer using their phone's keypad. This allows calls to be pre-sorted and forwarded to the appropriate groups or extensions.

Configuration

Click on the "Applications" tab and select the "IVR" menu item.

Click on "Add IVR" to add a new IVR.

The following configurations can be made:

  • IVR Name: <Any name>
  • IVR Description: <Any description>
  • Announcement : <System recording to be played at the beginning of the IVR>
  • Timeout: <How many seconds the caller has to press a key>
  • Invalid Retries: <How many invalid inputs are allowed>
  • Invalid Recording: <A system recording played after an invalid key press>
  • Invalid Destination: <The destination for the caller after the maximum number of invalid key presses>
  • Timeout Retries: <How many timeouts are allowed>
  • Timeout Destination: <The destination for the caller after the maximum number of timeouts>

IVR Entries

In the "IVR Entries" section, an action can be defined for each digit on the phone's keypad. Click "Add Another Entry" to add an action.

Finally, click on "Submit" and "Apply Config".
