Inbound Routes

Inbound Routes are used to redirect incoming calls to various destinations. They are required to receive calls from outside the network.

Configuration

Click on the "Connectivity" tab and select the "Inbound Routes" menu item.

To add an inbound route, click on "Add Inbound Route".

General

The following configuration must be entered:

  • Description: <A description for this inbound route>
  • DID Number: <A specific number dialed by the caller>
  • CallerID Number: <Phone number of the caller>
  • Alert Info: <The ringtone for this inbound route>
  • Ringer Volume Override: <Adjust ringtone volume>
  • CID name prefix: <Prefix added to the caller's name>
  • Music On Hold: <Music on hold>
  • Set Destination: <Destination for incoming calls>

Advanced

Under this section, you can configure the originating country for calls:

  • Indicate Zone Country: <The originating country>

Privacy

The following configuration must be entered:

  • Privacy Manager: <Enable or disable Privacy Manager (Yes / No)>
  • Max attempts: <Maximum number of attempts the caller has to enter their phone number>
  • Min Length: <Minimum number of digits a phone number must have to be valid>

The Privacy Manager ensures that every call is associated with a phone number; otherwise, it must be provided during the call. If anonymous calls are allowed, set "Privacy Manager" to "No".

Other

The following configuration must be entered:

  • Call Recording: <Enable or disable call recording (Force / Yes / Don't Care / No / Never)>
  • CID Lookup Source: <Source for caller ID lookup>
note

If "Call Recording" is enabled, an "Announcement" must be played to the caller informing them that the call is being recorded.

"CID Lookup" is used to look up the caller's phone number in databases. This functionality provides the call recipient with more information about the caller.

Finally, click on "Submit" and "Apply Config".
