Extensions

Extensions below 200 should not be used as they are reserved for emergency numbers.

Extensions are used to identify end devices and to facilitate internal and external calls. These are used as "users" for registration in the PBX.

Configuration

Click on the "Applications" tab and select the "Extensions" menu item.

Click on "Add Extension" and select "Add New SIP [chan_pjsip] Extension".

General

Enter the following information for the extensions:

• User Extension: <Extension number>
• Display Name: <Name of the person>

Voicemail

Under the "Voicemail" tab, voicemail can be activated and an email address can be provided:

• Enable: select "Yes"
• Voicemail Password: <Extension number>
• Email Address: <Email address>
• Email Attachment: select "Yes"
• Delete Voicemail: select "Yes"

Advanced

In the "Advanced" tab, the following adjustments must be made:

• Max Contacts: set to 5

This allows up to 5 phones to use the same extension.

Finally, click on "Submit" and "Apply Config".
