Which codecs does sipcall support?
sipcall supports the following codecs:
- G722
- G711 A-law (PCMA, G711A)
- G711 μ-law (PCMU, G711MU)
- OPUS
- G729
- G726
- T.38
- telephone-event
- H264 (video codec)
Which codecs does sipcall recommend?
We recommend configuring no more than three audio codecs on your device:
- Priority: G722
- Priority: G711 A-law (PCMA, G711A)
- Priority: G711 μ-law (PCMU, G711MU)
The audio codecs G711 μ-law or G711 μ-law are supported by most providers and devices,
while G722 is an HD audio codec and is supported by some providers.
