This guide explains how to download the sipcall app to your Windows computer and configure or provision the desired sipcall phone number in just a few simple steps.

Installation Guide

Download and Installation

System Requirements

Windows 10 or higher

Install the sipcall app from the Microsoft Store on your PC.

Optional Installation Option

If the Microsoft Store is unavailable, we offer an executable file (exe) for installation. This installation method is exclusively suitable for experienced technical personnel. The current version can be found here:

Configuration

Configuration steps may vary slightly depending on the portal and product. Select your combination:

  1. Log in to your personal sipcall user account via the sipcall customer portal.
  2. Navigate to the Phone Numbers.

  1. Click on the desired phone number you want to configure for the sipcall app.
  2. In the configuration overview of the sipcall number, click the "Edit" button within the "sipcall App" card.

  1. Click on the "Provision" button directly. The app will now start automatically, and your sipcall number will be registered automatically.

  1. Once the configuration/provisioning has been successfully completed, the app will appear in the "Registered Device" column next to the configured phone number.
If the sipcall app is not displayed here, the app is not active.

warning

If you regenerate the VoIP password for an already registered phone number, the configuration must be repeated for that number.

tip

If you encounter issues during provisioning, try opening the provisioning link in a different browser (e.g., Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.).
Alternatively, you can manually enter the SIP credentials after manually opening the sipcall app.

General Features

SIP or RTP Traffic Information

Please note that some Wi-Fi and network providers may block SIP or RTP traffic, which can limit the functionality of the sipcall app.

Activating DND (Do Not Disturb)

Click the "moon" icon to activate the DND feature.
When DND is enabled, you will not receive incoming calls in the sipcall app.
Notification sounds for incoming messages are also suppressed.
When DND is active, the moon icon appears filled.

Using the Busy Lamp Field (BLF)

The BLF feature only works for other phone numbers that are part of the same shared account (Pro or Business account).
It does not matter which device is registered to the other number.
To use this feature, go to the "Contacts" menu and click the "Add Contact" icon in the top right.
You can optionally add a profile picture and a name.
In the "Phone Number" field, enter the sipcall number in canonical format (e.g., 41442005000) and activate the "BLF" option.
Save the entry by clicking "Save".
You will now see the newly added person. If they are currently on a call, their status turns green and displays "On Call".
If they are not on a call, their status appears gray with the label "Off Call".

Using the Voicebox

If you have set up a voicebox for your phone number in your sipcall user account
(login.sipcall.ch / my.sipcall.at)
and the "Email Dispatch - Action" setting is set to "None" or "Copy",
you will receive a notification as soon as someone leaves a voicemail.
Additionally, a voicemail icon with a red badge indicating the number of messages will appear in the "Keypad" menu of the sipcall app.
By clicking the voicemail icon, you can listen to or delete the messages.

Call Recording Storage

Recorded calls are listed in the corresponding call history.
Click the download icon to save the recording to a folder of your choice.

Office 365 Contact Integration

Click on the "Contacts" icon and switch to the "Office365" tab.

You can now sign in with your Microsoft account by clicking "Please sign in".
All contacts from the main contact folder will be synced regularly.
Please note that contacts from subfolders or shared folders are currently not supported for synchronization.

Activating "Click-to-Dial"

To activate the "Click-to-Dial" feature, click the gear icon (Settings) in the bottom left corner of the sipcall app and go to the "Controls" menu.
Click "Settings" next to "Set as default calling app".
Then click the "Start FaceTime" button to open the FaceTime app.
Inside the FaceTime app, go to "Settings" and change the "Default app for calls" to "sipcall".
