PhonerLite Desktop

This guide explains how to download the "PhonerLite Desktop" app on your device and configure or provision your desired sipcall phone number in a few simple steps.

Download

You can find the installation file for the "PhonerLite Desktop" app at http://phonerlite.de/download_de.htm in the "Download" section. After successfully downloading the file, run it and complete the installation to proceed to the next step.

Registration

Open the "PhonerLite Desktop" app on your device and begin the account setup using the "Wizard" setup.

In the "Provider" section, select "manual configuration".

The configuration data can be found in the customer portal under "Phone numbers" -> "Phone number overview". Click on the desired phone number to view the configuration data (within the "SIP-Data" card).

  • Proxy/Registrar: <SIP-Server>

By clicking the arrow icon in the bottom right corner (>), you will proceed to the next section, which prompts you to enter the user credentials.

The configuration data can be found in the customer portal under "Phone numbers" -> "Phone number overview". Click on the desired phone number to view the configuration data (within the "SIP-Data" card).

  • User name: <Username>
  • authentication name: <Username>
  • password: <VoIP-Password>

The following fields will now be automatically populated with the data you entered in the previous steps:

  • Proxy/Registrar: <SIP-Server>
  • Created account: <Username>@<SIP-Server>
  • with the profile name: <Username>@<SIP-Server>

Complete the account setup by clicking the "✓" button.

Configuration

Codec

Next, open the configuration settings of the "PhonerLite Desktop" app.

Open the "Codecs" tab and enable the audio codecs by checking the box for each codec as follows:

  1. G.722 WB, 64 kbps
  2. G.711 A-Law, 64 kbps
  3. G.711 u-Law, 64 kbps
  4. DTMF (RFC4733),- kbps

Disable all other codecs. Additionally, disable the "G.726 AAL2" codec located in the bottom right corner by unchecking the box.

Complete the codec adjustments by clicking "Save as...".

Testing

Now test your VoIP application by making both an incoming and an outgoing call.

Calls to other sipcall numbers are possible without a balance, while calls to paid landline or mobile networks require sufficient funds in your sipcall account.
