Bria Mobile VoIP Softphone SIP Client App for Android

This installation guide refers to the Android app Bria Mobile: VoIP Softphone.

The UC Suite solution Bria Solo/Teams/Enterprise is better suited for business customers.

Installation

Open the Google Play Store on your Android device and search for the app "Bria Mobile: VoIP Softphone" by CounterPath. Install the app and then purchase the subscription.

Registration

Launch the app, open the "Accounts" menu, and tap the Plus-button to create a new account within the app.

Under "Account Types", tap the submenu "Making Calls".

The configuration data can be found in the customer portal under "Phone numbers" -> "Phone number overview". Click on the desired phone number to view the configuration data (within the "SIP-Data" card).

Account name: <Account name> (Freely selectable, e.g. your phone number "My sipcall account“)
Display As: <Your name> (e.g. Hans Mustermann) or <Username>
Username: <Username>
Password: <VoIP-Password>
Domain: <SIP-Server>

Phone calls

If you have entered the configuration data for your sipcall phone number correctly, your newly created account will appear under "Accounts" with a green icon.

You can now test the softphone by making an outgoing call.

Testing

Now test your VoIP application by making both an incoming and an outgoing call.

Calls to other sipcall numbers are possible without a balance, while calls to paid landline or mobile networks require sufficient funds in your sipcall account.
