Acrobits Softphone
This guide explains how to download the "Acrobits Softphone" app on your iOS device and configure or provision your desired sipcall phone number in a few simple steps.
Download
Download the Acrobits Softphone
app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
Registration
Launch the "Acrobits Softphone" app on your device and begin the account setup using the account wizard.
Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top right corner and open the "SIP Accounts" menu.
Tap the plus icon in the top right corner to configure your sipcall phone number for the "Acrobits Softphone" app.
Select the sipcall profile using the search field.
The configuration data can be found in the customer portal under "Phone numbers" -> "Phone number overview". Click on the desired phone number to view the configuration data (within the "SIP-Data" card).

Complete the account setup by tapping "Save" in the top right corner.
Configuration
Codec
Go back to the settings and open the "SIP Accounts" menu.
Tap on the previously configured account.
Tap on the "Advanced Settings" menu.
Next, tap on the "Codecs For Wi-Fi" menu under the "AUDIO CODECS" section.
Configure the "Codecs For Wi-Fi" under the "ENABLED CODECS" section as follows:
- G722
- PCMA
- PCMU
Disable all other codecs by pressing and holding them, then dragging them to the "DISABLED CODECS" section.
Ensure that the "Packet Time" menu is set to "20ms". If not, adjust it accordingly.
Repeat the same process for the "Codecs For Mobile Data" menu:
- G722
- PCMA
- PCMU
Disable all other codecs by pressing and holding them, then dragging them to the "DISABLED CODECS" section.
Ensure that the "Packet Time" menu is set to "20ms". If not, adjust it accordingly.
Network
Go back to the settings and open the "Preferences" menu.
Tap on the "Network" menu.
Ensure that the "Network Priorities for RTP" menu is set to "Prefer Wi-Fi". If not, adjust it accordingly.
Complete the configuration by tapping "Done" in the top right corner.
Testing
Now test your VoIP application by making both an incoming and an outgoing call.
Calls to other sipcall numbers are possible without a balance, while calls to paid landline or mobile networks require sufficient funds in your sipcall account.
