Gigaset N510

This installation guide explains the phone configuration of your device via the web interface. To access the web interface, enter the IP address of your device into the address bar of your web browser.

tip

You can find the IP address via the display menu of the respective device. If you are on the same LAN, you can alternatively access the following address in your browser:

http://gigaset-config.com/

Registration

Access your device via the IP address. Open the "Settings" tab and click on the "Telephony" menu on the left side.

Now all SIP lines of the device will be displayed.

Click "Edit" in the "IP1" row.

Next, click on "Show advanced settings" and fill in the fields as follows:

Connection Name or number: <Username>
Authentication name: <Username>
Authentication password: <VoIP-Password>
Username: <Username>
Display name: <Username>
Domain: <SIP-Server>
Registration server: <SIP-Server>

Configuration

Codec

Now open the "Audio" submenu.

Click on "Show advanced settings". In the "Selected codecs" field, you can now use the combination Ctrl + left mouse click to select the codecs "G.726" and "G.729", then click the "Remove" button to remove them from the "Selected codecs" list.

The codecs should be arranged in the following order:

  1. G.722
  2. G.711 a law
  3. G.711 µ law

Testing

Now test your VoIP phone by making both an incoming and outgoing call.

Calls to other sipcall numbers are possible without credit, while calls to paid landline or mobile networks require a sufficient balance on your sipcall account.
