AVM FRITZ!Box

This installation guide explains the telephone configuration of your FRITZ!Box via the FRITZ!Box user interface.

To access the user interface, enter http://fritz.box or the local IP address of the FRITZ!Box (by default http://192.168.178.1) in the address bar of your web browser.

Determine IP address

If several FRITZ!Box devices are registered in your network, you can determine the IP address using your FRITZ!Fon by following the instructions below:

  • On your FRITZ!Fon, press the "Menu" button.
  • Select "Start screens" and confirm with "OK".
  • Select "FRITZ!Box" from the list and confirm with "OK".
  • The required IP address will be displayed here.

Registration

  • On the left side, select the "Telephony" tab.
  • Navigate to the "Telephone numbers" menu.

  • Then click "New Telephone Number".

Fill in the following fields using the configuration data provided from the sipcall customer portal:

  • Telephony provider: sipcall
  • Telephone number: <Area code> <Phone number>
  • Benutzerkennung: <Username>
  • VoIP-Passwort: <VoIP-Password>

Set the "Transport protocol" to UDP under "Additional Settings for the Connection".

Click "Next" to complete the entry.

Enable port forwarding on the internet router

  • Select the "Telephony" tab.
  • Navigate to the "Telephone Numbers" menu.

  • Click the "Connection Settings" tab and scroll to the "Telephony Connection" heading.

  • Click "Change Settings" in the "Telephony Connection" section.
  • Enable the setting "Keep port sharing of the internet router enabled for telephony".
  • Set the value for "Keep port forwarding enabled every" to "30 sec.".

  • Then click "Apply" to save this change.

Testing

Now test your VoIP phone by making both an incoming and outgoing call.

Calls to other sipcall numbers are possible without credit, while calls to paid landline or mobile networks require a sufficient balance on your sipcall account.
