Yeastar P-Series
This installation guide explains how to set up a sipcall sip trunk or a sipcall virtual pbx number with Yeastar P-Series Cloud Edition.
1. SIP Trunk Registrationβ
- Open the Yeastar P-Series web interface and navigate to "Extension and Trunk".
- Click on the menu item "Trunk" on the left.
- Click the "Add" button to add a SIP trunk.

- Give the new SIP trunk a freely selectable
Name, for example "sipcall". - Set the "Trunk Status" to "Enabled".

- Select the ITSP template "Switzerland".
- Select the ITSP Provider "sipcall by Backbone Solutions".

sipcall offers various SIP servers. More information can be found here.
- SIP Server
- SIP Server with DNS-SRV
- SIPS Server
The configuration data can be found in the customer portal under "Phone Numbers" -> "Phone Number Overview". Click on the desired phone number to view the configuration data (within the "SIP Data" card).
Transport: UDP
Hostname/IP: <SIP Server>
Domain: <SIP Server>
Port: 5060
Subscriber Name: <User ID>
Authentication Name: <User ID>
Password: <Password>

1.1 Enable SRTP
Now click on the "SRTP Enable" option in the "Advanced" menu under "VoIP Settings".

1.2 Allow TLS
Navigate to "PBX Settings" and the "SIP Settings" menu. Select the "TLS" tab and enable it.

Save the changes with the "Save" button.
Finally, apply the configuration with the "Apply" button.

2. SIP Trunk Configurationβ
2.1 Codec Settingsβ
- Go to the menu item "Extension and Trunk" -> "Trunk". Select the desired SIP trunk by clicking on the pencil icon.

- Navigate to the "Advanced" menu and set the selected codecs in the following order:
- G722
- a-law
- u-law

2.2 Phone Numbers/Extensionsβ
In the "Phone Numbers/Extensions" menu item, you can configure one or more phone numbers using the "Add" button.

- Single Phone Number
- Phone Number Range
Phone Number/Extension: <Phone number in sipcall SIP Trunk>
Phone Number/Extension Name: <Any name for the phone number>

Phone Number Range: <First phone number in sipcall SIP Trunk> - <Last phone number in sipcall SIP Trunk>
Phone Number/Extension Name: <Any name for the phone number range>

Click "Save" to create the SIP trunk.

2.3 Outgoing Caller ID (optional)β
In the "Outgoing Caller ID" tab, you can specify which phone number should be displayed by default for outgoing calls.
Enter the desired phone number under "Outgoing Caller ID" in international format (+41xxxxxxxxx).
Additionally, you can set a name for the outgoing phone number under "Outgoing Caller ID Name".
To enable this option, "CLIP no Screening" must be activated. You can activate this through the sipcall Partner Portal or through our customer support.

Now, for every outgoing call, the phone number and caller name you defined will be displayed.
3. Emergency Number Configurationβ
To simplify the setup of emergency numbers, we provide a CSV file for import:
- Now click on "Call Control" and then "Emergency Number".
- Then click on the "Import" button.

- Select "Browse" and specify the "yeastar_p-serie_emergency_numbers.csv" file.
- Then click on "Import".

After this, the configuration should look as follows:

4. Extension Configurationβ
In the menu item "Extension and Trunk" under "Extension", you can manage extensions/users.
- Click "Add" to create a new extension.
- Enter the user information.

5. Define Inbound and Outbound Rulesβ
Incoming calls are automatically delivered to the IVR. Select the "Default_Inbound_Route" to configure it correctly. Here you add the sipcall SIP Trunk.

Save the route with "Save".
Do the same for the outbound route "Default_Outbound_Route".
6. Testing the Yeastar P-Series Configuration and SIP Trunkβ
Now test your VoIP phone by making both an incoming and outgoing call.
Calls to other sipcall numbers are possible without credit, while calls to paid landline or mobile networks require a sufficient balance on your sipcall account.
