Ubiquiti Unifi Talk

This installation guide explains how to configure the telephony settings of your device via the web interface.
To access the web interface, enter the IP address of your Unifi Cloud Key or Unifi Cloud Gateway into the address bar of your web browser.

If you are unsure how to find the IP address of your device, please refer to the
instructions/information in the Help Center provided by the manufacturer.

Configuration

Preparation

Access your device using its IP address. After logging in, select the "Talk" application from your "Dream Machine Pro"
or your "Cloud Key Gen2 / Gen2 Plus" to configure a sipcall phone number.

Go to the "Talk" menu again and then to the "Settings" submenu (gear icon) in the left navigation.
Next, go to the "System" menu and click the "Add Third-Party SIP Provider" button.

Enter fields

Now, enter the name sipcall in the "Provider Name" field. Then go to the "Add Field" tab and add
the following parameters:

  • proxy
  • username
  • password
  • extension
  • register
  • context

Once you have added all fields, you can confirm by clicking "Done".

Registration

You can find the configuration data in the customer portal under "Phone numbers" → "Phone number overview".
Click on the desired phone number to view the configuration data (within the "SIP-Data" card).

Define destination country and phone number

Click the "Select Countries" button, select Switzerland or Austria as appropriate, and confirm your selection by clicking "Save".

Now enter the sipcall phone number to be registered in the "DID Numbers" field (in the format +41xxxxxxxxxx)
and confirm the entry by pressing the Enter key.

Add IP address range

To ensure that incoming calls from the sipcall servers can be delivered to Unifi Talk, you must enter the following
ACL entries:

  • 212.117.203.0/24

  • 212.117.204.0/24

Save the entry you made by clicking "Apply Changes" and restart both the "Talk" application
and the Unifi Phone Touch.

important note

You may also need to set up port forwarding for ports 5060 and 6767 on your Unifi Cloud Gateway.

Testing

Now test your VoIP phone by making both an incoming and outgoing call.

Calls to other sipcall numbers are possible without credit, while calls to paid landline or mobile networks require a sufficient balance on your sipcall account.
