Notes

  • Neither sipcall nor any other provider can guarantee fax transmission/functionality due to the many variables in IP networks. If the transmission of critical data must be ensured, sipcall recommends switching to an alternative solution.
  • Practical experience has shown that "Fax over IP" often encounters transmission issues, with availability rates typically ranging between 80% and 95%.
  • For over 20 years, the Swiss government has issued a universal service license to ensure access to modern telephony for all Swiss residents. However, as per the 2016 decision by the Federal Council, fax transmission is no longer included in the telecommunications service mandate, as there are sufficient alternatives available. Despite this, sipcall is making every effort to continue providing fax services for as long and as reliably as possible.
