Incoming Calls and Ring Time

note

You can also configure the behavior of incoming calls directly on your device. The settings with the shortest ring time take precedence.

Choose between different call behavior modes

note

To adjust the behavior of the “Call Forwarding” function, a forwarding rule must first be configured in the “Forwarding” card.
Further information on this topic is available under Call Forwarding.

Ring, then forward
Your call will be forwarded after the ring time expires. If no forwarding is active, the call will be rejected after the ring time expires.
Reject
Your call will be rejected immediately, and the phone will not ring. The caller will receive a busy signal.
Forward only
The call will be forwarded immediately. If no forwarding is active, the call will be rejected.
Voicemail only
The call will be forwarded directly to the voicemail box. If no voicemail is active, the call will be rejected.
Ring, then voicemail
The call will be forwarded to voicemail after the ring time expires. If no voicemail is active, the call will be rejected after the ring time expires.
Forward, then voicemail
The call will be forwarded immediately. If no forwarding is active, the call will be sent directly to voicemail.
Ring, forward, voicemail
Your call will be forwarded after the ring time expires. If forwarding is not active or available, the call will be sent to voicemail.
tip

If you set up call forwarding to another sipcall number, the ring time of the sipcall forwarding applies.

Example:

Number 1 forwards to Number 2 (both numbers are sipcall numbers). The call will ring on Number 2 for as long as defined in the "Incoming call behavior" settings for Number 2 (ring time in seconds).

Ring Time

The ring time determines how long the phone rings. Once this period expires, a busy signal will sound unless other settings are configured (e.g., forwarding or voice/fax box).

note

Do not set the ring time below 10 seconds.
